::  The Dancing Goat is  my local coffee bar, a five minute walk around the corner located in the middle of suburbia.  It’s a tiny, vibrant little place with the breakfasting crowd spilling out onto the balconey overlooking the street.  The decor is eclectic, with raw wooden share tables, fresh flowers, recycled Little Creatures water bottles and quirky chalkboards.  Locals are greeted by Aaron and Lloyd, who deftly wait the tables and brew the coffees.

The menu isn’t large but what is on offer is always fresh and done well.  The focus is on good produce, handled with care and brought to your table with a smile by the chef himself.  My favourite dish is the avocado, tomato and feta on rye with basil oil – simple, match made in heaven flavours.  The pots of chai latte are the real thing, made with a pungent blend of spices and complimented with a spoonful of honey.

Saturday morning bliss.
