:: It’s taken me a while but finally I can share the photos captured from the bridal shower tea party we put on for my friend in the first weekend of spring.
It turned out so beautifully and so decadently, that I have to say it was one of the most amzing and creative events I’ve been involved in.
Romance was in the air with dainty fresh flowers spilling from every corner and pretty pastels set against a classic white backdrop.
The bride’s sister made this gorgeous layered heart cake, frosted in swirling cream and adorned with fresh roses.
The beauty was in the details, from the arrays of vintage glass bottles and servingware to the delicately patterned china, platters of bite-sized sweets and white-framed photos of the bride and groom.
This simple image of a rose is one of my favourite photos from the day.
Each bridesmaid contributed to the menu, which included chocolate raspberry towers, red velvet cupcakes, scones with jam and cream, mini quiches with caramalised onion, feta and pinenuts, and cucumber sandwiches.
The bride’s future mother-in-law contributed from the Greek side of the family with homemade baklava and delicate, flaky spanakopita rolls.
It was such an enjoyable afternoon that we went on well until the sun began to go down.
It was a feast fit for a queen!
